Help us work toward our goal of raising $7,000 for this harvest season!

Why Donate?

  • Community Fruit Rescue helps reduce food waste, minimizes greenhouse gas emissions, protects wildlife, builds resilient communities and directs fresh food to people who need it - all at once!
  • Your donation is tax deductible
  • We are a very tiny organization which means that your gift, however big or small, will have a BIG impact.
  • We are members of the Paypal Gives Foundation, which means that 100% of your donation comes straight to us, with no fees taken out.

What will my money be used for?

  • To replace and repair basic harvesting supplies like picking poles, ladders, scales and crates
  • To fund the acquisition of our own 501c3 non-profit designation
  • To buy supplies for food preservation workshops
  • To fund our dedicated Program and Partnerships Coordinators, who will help ensure everything runs smoothly from beginning to end!

In 2016, we rescued over 10,000 pounds of local fruit, which filled the homes of all of our volunteers and their families, as well as the pantries of food banks, shelters, schools, and even a wild animal sanctuary. 2017 was a very low fruit year but we're back at it again and this year is shaping up to be better than ever with tons of fruit ripening on branches all over the city. Help us make sure this fruit gets harvested and distributed to folks who need it and donate now!

We're excited to announce our new membership with the Paypal Giving Fund . We're accepting tax deductible donations there - and the great part is that 100% of your donation comes straight to us, with no fees taken out. And, you'll receive a tax receipt from the Paypal Giving Fund to make your tax season even easier.

We are raising $7,000 to grow our efforts and establish a lasting presence in our community. Donations during this 2018 season will be used to purchase and repair basic harvesting supplies like picking poles, ladders, scales and crates, fund the acquisition of our own 501c3 non-profit designation, buy supplies for food preservation workshops and fund our dedicated Program and Partnerships Coordinators, who will help ensure everything runs smoothly from beginning to end! No gift is too small, and all gifts are tax deductible. Donate here.
